Ryanair: the 10 most irritating things about the airline

Stingy baggage allowance
Problem Ryanair charges between £15 and £45 to check a bag into the hold, therefore customers are understandably reticent to do so. Unfortunately, the airline hand luggage allowance is among the stingiest in the sky - one item of up to 10kg, with a maximum dimension of 55cm x 40cm x 20cm. By comparison BA allows bags of up to 23kg, measuring 56cm x 45cm x 25cm. And should you fall foul of the rules, Ryanair will charge you at least £60 to check your overweight hand luggage into the hold.
Is it being fixed? From December 1, passengers will be allowed on board with a second “small” carry-on bag, such as a “small ladies handbag or [a] small airport shopping bag”. And from January 5, the charge for checking in luggage at the airport will fall from £60 to £30 per bag.
