Mexico and Cuba both feature prominently in Thomson Cruises' long-haul winter
2014/15 cruise programme, with more scheduled port calls in Cuba's capital,
Havana, than is currently offered by any other UK cruise line.
Platinum ship Thomson Dream is relocating to new home port Jamaica, from where
it will embark on five new itineraries including 11 new ports of call. These
include Colon and the San Blas archipelago in Panama, Puerto Limon in Costa
Rica, Roatan in Honduras, Playa del Carmen in Mexico and Havana. Excursions
include a zip-wiring adventure through a Costa Rican rainforest canopy.
Thomson Celebration, recently refurbished with 26 new private balconies, will
operate Caribbean sailings from Bridgetown, Barbados, for the winter season
in 2014/15, with three itineraries and one new port of call at Isles de
Saintes in Guadeloupe.
An expanded range of hotels will bolster the cruise-and-stay programme for
winter 2014/15 and, in a new departure for the operator, two of its four
transatlantic crossings will be themed. The first of these is a Big Band
sailing from Lanzarote on December 4 2014.
